Intercultural Management

You have to work in a different cultural environment you have to manage a staff from a different culture, you would like to be successful in your business with partners belonging to a different culture,

Do not forget that you do not need only to master the language but you should also know the culture
of the Other.

Therefore you must know :

  • How to become integrated into the culture
    of the Other

  • How to win the trust of your business partner

  • How to behave in the culture of the Other

To achieve this we propose a seminar or some personal coaching in intercultural management.

Aim of this seminar :

At the end of this seminar you will be able :

  • To be successful in your business by using the same negotiation weapons of your business partner,

  • To recognise the eventual misunderstandings for not misinterpreting the intention of the Other

  • To use the interaction situation to your/best advantage

  • To surprise the Other positively by not being typically yourself

Content of the seminar

This interactive seminar is made of 4 parts of 3 hours each.

In this seminar you will learn :

  • To know yourself :

    Who am I?

    How am I?

How do I behave in such-and-such situation?

How will I react in a situation which is not familiar to me?

    Why?

  • To get to know the Other: what experiences have I already had with him/her?

  • Which image do I have of the Other? Is this image tinged with stereotypes? Why?

How can I use these stereotypes well?

  • To recognise the differences between both cultures: To what extent am I different from the Other? Why?

To which problems can lead these differences

  • To achieve synergy effects: How can I turn these differences to my advantage and abolish the barriers?

Organisation of the seminar :

  • Interactivity :the trainer/coach is only the mediator between both cultures, that is to say a cultural translator

  • Case/intercultural situation analysis in small groups => Exchange of views in common => Conclusion

  • Role play
